WE ARE SYLC
Founded by Albert Hao, Andrew Luo, and Grant Cheng, SYLC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to develop soft skills of the youth. SYLC fosters leadership, communication, and mentorship skills between students of different demographics through a cross-continental education program.
We promote what we believe to be top characteristics in any aspiring individuals: being a motivating mentor, communicating and listening without bias, empathizing with others and their unique perspectives, being supportive of one’s colleagues, being a critical thinker and problem solver, and being able to make connections across complex ideas.
Our Core Values
As an organization focused on developing interpersonal skills, emotional fluency, and technical skills to initiate a collection of service projects, core values are an integral part of SYLC.
SYLC is a gateway to countless opportunities for the youth. Our members are able to learn and teach through a cross-continental program that promotes diversity, hands-on experience, and interpersonal skills.
By joining our project, you can employ language skills involving all of the skills listed above and strengthen your abilities in effective communication, patience, and emotional fluency.
